Kara no Kyoukai Mujun Rasen and Saber by Gift

I'm over with the classes, and now I have holiday until the beginning of the next academic year (in April).

Wednesday I received an Amazon box containing Kara no Kyoukai Mujun Rasen Limited Edition DVD and 1/8 Saber figure by Gift.

Kara no Kyoukai Mujun Rasen Limited Edition DVD is like the rest of the Limited Edition DVD sets, nothing new here. I will see it once I'm finished with this entry.
The following movie, Boukyaku Rokuon, is still airing in a Tokyo theater, so the DVD release would be in June or July.

1/8 Saber figure is sculpted by Toda Satoshi from circle Yume No Kagutsuchino Koukoku.
This is the first figure released by Gift, but is distribuited by Good Smile Company.

The detail in the armor is impresive, but like his previous 1/8 Saber Alter by Solid Theater, the realistic face is a bit off...

Luckily, they included an extra face by Kuramoto Ikuma from circle Millimeter Modeling. Is not perfect but is better than the original:

The best part is the detailed armor:

And now a few full body pics. I used the inner cover of the box as a background to give a profesional feel:

Supposedly, Solid Theather was going to release a Dark Sakura by the same sculptor, but now that Toda Satoshi is under the umbrella of Gift (pretty much is the main person there), the fate of Dark Sakura is unclear. Here is the prototype (photo taken from AkibaBlog):

TYPE-MOON Ace 2 and Yahoo! Auctions purchases

I've been busy with the end of semester exams and works, so lately I don't go around on buying trips...Even this post is a dance with the devil due the huge amount of work I have to finish yet, but I feel bad for the (few) regular readers that I already have.

Yesterday I bought in the nearest bookstore TYPE-MOON Ace Vol. 2.

I still didn't check it thoroughly, so refer to more professional blogs like Akihabara Channel, Canned Dogs and Seasons Of Change for more info about it.

And today I received stuff that I bought in Yahoo! Auctions throught Shopping Mall Japan (yes, I still use them even if I'm already living in Japan).

The Queen of Heart '98 by circle Watanabe Seisakujo. Now I have all their doujin fighting games.

Extremely nice miko Saber wallscroll.
It was a WonderGOO exclusive if you preordered Fate/unlimited codes with them.

Beginning of January loot

Yesterday I went to Gamers Kyoto to buy the new Comptiq magazine and the latest e-conte (storyboard) of the Kara no Kyoukai movies.

I usually don't go to Gamers because is smaller than the near Animate and it have almost the same material available, but Gamers usually gives nice postcards like the one in the photo.

I only buy magazines if they have nice extras, nice covers or interesting contents (usually interviews or previews). In this case I didn't expected anything more than a nice cover, but inside it was a picture of Shirazumi Lio dressed as Shiki, that it's interesting because is the first time I see Lio as will appear in the movie.

Tokyo trip: New Year and return to Kyoto

In New Year's Eve I went to Washinomiya shrine, were supposedly the Hiiragi sisters from Lucky Star work as miko.

Crappy photo with the phone.

Lucky Star mikoshi.

I was able to get a full set of the limited edition Puchi Nendoroids, only sold there and only during New Year's Eve:

When I came back to Kyoto, a package was waiting for me. It was Saber Lion Nendoroid by Good Smile Company:

And at the end, I bought a small TV and a PS2 via Amazon.jp, and now I'm finally able to play Fate/unlimited codes!

Tokyo trip: purchases at Comiket 75

I'm back from Tokyo. I will do a very quick review because I bought a lot of stuff, not only in the Comiket but also in Akihabara and Nakano...
