To Heart merchandise

Today is Serio's birthday, one of the very few fictional characters that I remember their birthday, so I will take the chance to do a review of all the To Heart merchandise that I own.

First, the original PC game and the PSE Edition that already reviewed here.

The Japanese dvd's of the first To Heart series. Seems that the American edition by Rightstuff was remastered and restored, so once I have enough money I'll buy that edition too.

One of the two cels that I have is this chibi Serio from the extra mini-episode #5. More details in my newly opened Cel Gallery.

Cd's. Piece of Heart drama cd (already reviewed) and To Heart anime OST.

Serio plush, released in 2003 by Sol International, was the first plush that I purchased.

Serio plush in the maintenance swimsuit, again by Sol International.

My favorite characters after Serio are the Kurusugawa sisters, so I also bought a Kurusugawa Ayaka plush...

... and a Kurusugawa Serika.

The To Heart figures that I own: 1/8 Cold Cast Kurusugawa Serika Swimsuit version (Kotobukiya, sculpt by Tokunaga Hironori) 1/8 Cold Cast Kurusugawa Ayaka (Kotobukiya, sculpt by Tomoki Maeda), 1/8 Cold Cast HMX-13 Serio (Kotobukiya, sculpt by Shirahige Tsukuru) and 1/7 Cold Cast HMX-13 Serio Nude version (Art Road, sculpt by DILL).

Actually, I have a second 1/8 Cold Cast HMX-13 Serio that I bought for only 1000 yen.

The To Heart artbooks that I have: To Heart Visual Fun Book and To Heart TV Animation Vol.1 and 2

To Heart Visual Fun Book is mostly based in the PSE Edition.

Includes a few short manga by Azuma Kiyohiko (Azumanga Daioh!, Yotsubato!...)

A shitajiki by Akikan (circle Credit), that was well known years ago by his Go! To! Heart!! works. Was an extra from a Serio dakimakura that I don't have T_T.

1/8 Kokutou Azaka by Movic

1/8 Kokutou Azaka by Movic is the first figure ever of Azaka from Kara No Kyoukai. Compared with Fate/stay night figures, Kara No Kyoukai figures are really scarce.

The sculpt is by Nishimura Naoki (aka Pilot). Despite being distributed by Movic, the maker is actually Kotobukiya, so quality is guaranteed.

Close up of the face. She resembles the original art nicely, unlike some other works from the same sculptor...

The dynamic pose, the sculpt and the paint job are good, but it feels a bit simple when compared with recent figures.

As an "extra" you can put a flame in her fist, but it looks lame so I display her without it.

1/6 Shikinami Asuka Langley by Kotobukiya

Just received 1/6 Shikinami Asuka Langley by Kotobukiya.
Sculpted by Shirahige Tsukuru, is based in the new renewal movies Shikinami Asuka instead of the classical Soryu Asuka, but the only difference between the two is a detail in the neck of the plugsuit.

I find the face sculpt a bit weird, but I can't put the finger on what is at fault...

The base is the horned Eva-02.

The hair have a slight translucent effect.

She makes pair with 1/6 Ayanami Rei that was released in 2007 that was also sculpted by Shirahige.

Figure purchases

I was asked about the figures that were back in a picture from my last entry.


Sion and Ciel Extra Summer Beach Figure Vol. 2, from Melty Blood and made by Sega as an arcade prize. Were released in this September and bought online in Hobby Link Japan.
In this series there is also Arcueid, but is the same as the one from the Vol. 1 (that I have, but in Spain). The sculptor is Azusa Rei from circle Gundoll.


Satsuki and Arcueid Extra Figure, again from Melty Blood, made by Sega and bought this September in Hobby Link Japan. Sculpt by Hitsuji Chousa.

Figma Rin (Fate/stay night) was released at the end of August by Max Factory.
I bought it in Spain via Amazon Japan just before leave, putting my Japanese address (Amazon.jp doesn't send figures overseas).


Magical Amber, an original character based on Kohaku (Tsukihime) designed by Takenashi Eri (of Kannagi fame) for the Character Material book. Sculpt by Uchida Kouji from circle makeplus. Released in September by Orchid Seed.

Gothic Lolita Rei (Evangelion) by Kotobukiya, sculpted by Nishimura Naoki (Pilot). Released on October. Is not the best figure by Pilot, but since is made to stand in pair with the older release Gothic Lolita Asuka that I have in Spain, I bought it.

And finally, another Rei, but by Alter and sculpted by Numakura Toshiaki. Released on October, too. I usualy don't buy figures with lying down poses, but the sculpt quality made it a must have.

With this, I covered all the figures that I bought since my arrival to Japan. And sorry for the quality of the photos; both the camera and the cameraman sucks.
